Ballet & Tap Combo 1

This one-hour class is really two classes in one!

Ballet 1

Children ages 4 to 7 can learn the basics of ballet while having fun and making new friends!  Ballet Classes include:

  • Ballet Positions
  • Basic Steps
  • Terminology
  • Dance Games
  • and more!

Tap 1

What's more fun than dancing and making noise?  Children ages 4 to 7 can do both and learn a great new way to dance at the same time!  Tap classes include:

  • Basic Tap Steps
  • Beginning Combinations
  • Terminology
  • Games
  • and more!

The dress code for this class is very basic.  Girl dancers need to wear a leotard and tights in any color; dance skirt or tutu optional.  Hair needs to be pulled back off the face in a pony tail or dancer's bun.  Boy dancers need to wear black, navy blue, or grey elastic waist shorts and a plain white t-shirt.  Ballet slippers and tap shoes are required.

NOTE: Dance shoes should never be worn outside!

Ballet & Tap Combo 2

For dancers who have successfully completed Ballet & Tap Combo 1, or who have prior Ballet and Tap experience, this is the next step.  Admittance to the class is by teacher placement only.  (Some dancers may need to repeat Ballet & Tap 1 before moving to this level.)

This one-hour class will expand on what was learned in Ballet & Tap 1, with more steps, and more technique.  There will still be plenty of fun and games, just to keep the class interesting.

The dress code for this class is the same as for Ballet & Tap Combo 1.

Ballet & Tap Combo 3

This 90 minute class is our highest level of Ballet and Tap Combo, for those dancers who have successfully completed both Combo 1 and Combo 2, or who have similar dance experience from another studio.  Admittance to this class is by teacher placement only.  (Some dancers may need to repeat Ballet & Tap 2 before moving to this level.)

Continuing to expand on the techniques learned in previous classes, the longer time of this class will allow dancers to perfect their abilities.

The dress code for this class is the same and for Ballet & Tap Combo 1.

Creative Movement

This half-hour class is designed for the youngest dancers.

Little dancers ages 2 and 3 will have fun in their own creative movement class.  Through a combination of music and games, they will learn to control their movements and gain confidence.  They will also learn a few basic ballet steps!

Long hair needs to be pulled back off the face.  Ballet slippers required.

NOTE:  Dance shoes should never been worn outside!

Children need to be able to follow simple directions.  They also need basic verbal skills, such as answering "yes" or "no" and saying when they need a potty break.

Boys Tap

Sometimes a boy just wants to hang out with the guys.  This half-hour class is for boys ages 4 to 7 only.  Boys will learn the same basic principals as in Tap 1 from our Combo class, but with a special spin that will make it fun for them.  The music will be different, and they will learn steps that are bigger and bolder.

Forget the tutus, the dress code for this class is black, navy blue, or grey elastic waist shorts and a plain white t-shirt.  Long hair needs to be pulled back off the face.  Tap shoes are required.

NOTE: Dance shoes should never be worn outside!
